Recommended daily feed rates (per head basis)

Golden Flake can be fed as part of a TMR, top dressed or as part of a blend.

• Milking and Dry Cows 0.25 – 0.75 kg (depending on performance, cow condition and stage of lactation

• Ewes and goats Up to 0.1 kg (for multiple bearing and lactating ewes)

Experience has shown improved returns when used in the first 150 days of lactation for high yielding cows or
in the diets of prolific milking and breeding ewes and goats.

For best results consider feeding a rumenprotected protein source in addition, e.g., SoyPass or NovaPro.
Up to 5% is recommended in manufactured complementary feeds. It is best introduced to the ration over a
period of a few days, and it should be mixed with other feed materials before feeding.

• Golden Flake; is available all year round and can be delivered direct to farm in 25kg or 600kg bags or in
pallet multiples of 1.2 tonnes. The minimum order quantity is one pallet delivered (1.2 tonnes).

• In order to keep Golden Flake in the best possible condition, it should be stored in dry, well-ventilated buildings. Whilst the product will not heat of its own accord, care should be taken to keep it out of direct sunlight and at a maximum warehouse temperature of 350C.

• Pallets should not be stacked more than two high and there should be a gap between the pallets to allow for air circulation. If very hot conditions (over 350C) should persist, it is advisable to remove the shrink-wrapping and the pallets should be broken down.

• Golden Flake should be used within 18 months of the product manufacture date, which is declared on each bag.

Golden Flake is a rumen protected fat of palm fatty acids from palm oil, manufactured to high quality standards.

Golden Flake is a FEMAS assured (or a recognised equivalent).
